Rev. Jeff Bowden was called to be Discipleship Pastor in July of 2004. Prior to coming to our church, he served churches in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina.
After graduating from Lenoir City High School, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Carson-Newman College. He earned his Master of Religious Education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Education degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with an anticipated graduation of spring 2013.
Pastor Jeff is currently the assistant director of the East Tennessee Extension Center for Southern Seminary at First Baptist, Church Health Coordinator for the Loudon County Baptist Association and Sunday School Consultant for the Tennessee Baptist Convention. He has also served in numerous denominational positions, including Associational Sunday School Director, Regional Sunday School Director, State Sunday School Planning Team Leader, conference leader on Associational and State levels for Lifeway Christian Resources, and local ministry boards.
Pastor Jeff and his wife, Terri, have two children: Michael and Joshua.
