Rev. Dick DeMerchant is the Pastoral Care and Senior Adult Pastor. He also oversees the Men's Ministry here at First Baptist. Before joining our staff in 1979, he served churches in both Georgia and Florida.
Pastor Dick received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College in Florida and has done additional studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing his Master's Degree. In addition to holding several denominational leadership positions, he has traveled extensively in various ministry endeavors.
Pastor Dick and his wife, Della, have three adult children: Lance, Aaron, and Sara.
